The theme of the Hackathon was ‘How can we elevate Chandigarh Tricity to the next level of digitization’. Students and IT professionals from various institutions came together to identify problems and design suitable solutions. The problem statements included Patient’s vital stats using IOT, Smart LPG regulator, Smart City Application using Artificial Intelligence and Hospital Queue Management.

The event consisted of separate tracks for IT professionals and college students respectively. The teams who qualified for the final round were evaluated by a panel of experts from across fields in the city. The Jury members included Mr. Ajay Srivastava – STPI Joint Director, Mohali, Dr. Mahesh-Head OPD, PGI, Chandigarh, Mr. Sanjay Sharma -General Manager – HUDA , Panchkula, Mr. Vikas Ahuja -DC Head Chandigarh, along with internal members from Infosys.

IDS Infotech – IT/ITes/BPO/KPO had organized marathon on 12th Auguest 2017 to raise funds to meet medical expenses one of our Chandigarh most popular Marathon Runner “Deepak Muduli” who met with an serious accident, and got multiple injuries in head, rib cage and other injuries. IDS Infotech Ltd. signed the MOU with Square Group, Bangladesh to expand its IT and BPM (Business Process Management) business.

IDS has been providing IT/BPM services to clients worldwide since 1989 across various verticals like healthcare, legal support, publishing, software, IP and Engineering services.

The CEO of Square Group, Mr. Tapan Chowdhury visited IDS on Feb 29 to March 1, 2016. Square Group is an established group doing business in over 50 verticals, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, tea estates, hospitals, etc. the Group is keen to foray into providing IT and BPM services to worldwide clients. Square Group has identified IDS as a knowledge partner to establish this new vertical.

The joint venture will be formed by Square Group and IDS to accomplish the business proposals of MOU.

Mr. Partap Aggarwal, the Managing Director/CEO of IDS Infotech Ltd. and former president of TiE Chandigarh participated at TiE CONFERENCE organized by TiE Chandigarh chapter. There were over 500 participants and 30 plus exhibitors.

The conference was organized by TiE Chandigarh to build a strong and vibrant startup ecosystem in Tier 2 city like Chandigarh and the event was supported by The Times of India as the media partner. Chandigarh is now being considered as a hub for startups as a lot of new ventures have taken shape in this city.

The TiECON conferences were followed by STPI Awards hosted by Software Technology Parks of India, Mohali STPI, an agency under the Union ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

Mr. Partap K Aggarwal represented as an Ambassador of Chandigarh, UT at “Make in India Week” in Mumbai. Chandigarh Administration planned to share the various initiatives being taken by the Administration to promote Industry in Chandigarh and promote the growth story of “Charming Chandigarh”.

The Make in India Week was set to showcase the people, policies and partnerships that are driving India’s new manufacturing revolution. The theme of the weeklong event would be innovation, design and sustainability.

The pioneers of IT and IT enabled services in the region, IDS Infotech Limited, has entered into a joint venture with US-based Argus Medical Management LLC to expand its reach in the US healthcare market.

IDS-Argus the first company in India to be able to provide a full range of Physician Practice Management services to the healthcare market in US.

IDS and Argus have been delivering physician billing services to the healthcare market in US since 2005, and the joint venture will provide better market access to the healthcare industry in the US, said Partap K Aggarwal, Managing Director, IDS, and is a result of IDS’s vertical-focused growth strategy.

Robert Boullon, CEO for Argus, said that the US healthcare provider BPO market is valued at US$ 5.2 billion in 2011 and is growing at a 14% CAGR to reach an annual market value of nearly US$9 billion by 2015. Besides, the US Administration is committed to delivering universal healthcare access which will add nearly 30 million citizens to the healthcare system by 2018.

IDS Argus has employed about 100 full-time specialists for this new venture at their campus in Chandigarh and Noida. This JV has a potential to create hundreds of jobs over the next several years of healthcare reform.
